Higher Minds is the kind of smoke shop in Warren that people talk up to their friends, and once you visit you understand why. It's run by a husband-and-wife team who know their stuff, and locals will tell you the pair are about as friendly and down to earth as they come. Even if you never meet the husband, the wife tends to leave folks smiling, with more than one person saying they didn't want to leave.

One shopper mentioned that an owner took the time to write out the different stone types so they could go home and research them, which tells you how much they care about the people who walk in. The shelves cover a lot of ground. There's more here too: incense, tie-dye and hippie attire, plenty of art on the walls, and a black light room that regulars get a kick out of.

Ask anyone who shops here and they'll say it's clean inside and easy to browse, with a little something for just about everyone. The word around Warren is that the prices are fair, and folks still talk about the grab bags being a fun way to try new things. With a strong reputation built over a couple hundred visits, Higher Minds has earned its spot as one of the better head shops in town.
